Park Wellington

In the heart of the Sunset Strip, this high-end condominium building needed a lobby that exemplified the sophisticated, yet young vibe of the neighborhood and its residents. Key challenges were to integrate the existing elements of expansive marble flooring and 1970s brass railings with fresh and boldly daring elements.

Black wood paneling with brass inlays and hand-painted wallpaper created the backdrop for striking choices like traditional jute rugs dyed a deep plum, custom sofas in the style of Greta Grossman, and a chandelier replicated from a fixture Hutchins found in Paris. Pops of fuschia, cream and brass accents create a cohesive and chic statement. The effect is European design fusing seamlessly with California modernism in grand, Hollywood style.
