La Jolla

West Hollywood, CA

The jewelbox Spanish bungalow in West Hollywood needed to accommodate this fashion-forward couple’s growing family while showcasing their love of Old Hollywood, high-end style and art. The color palette draws from their existing collection of works by Annie Leibovitz, Lisa Yuskavage and Jackie Nickerson among others, and the furnishings are a balanced fusion of vintage gems, travel finds and custom pieces.

Artistic touches punctuate the design in every room. Hand-painted chinoiserie mirror panels and Florence Broadhurst wallpaper add a touch of whimsy to the children’s room. A painting by Lana Gomez anchors the master bedroom entrance, highlighted further by the clear detailing of lucite stools and a vintage glass chandelier. Curated vignettes add personality such as designer shoes housed in Mastercraft burled walnut cabinets.

Family spaces mix metals like stainless steel and brass with marble flooring and counters. Warmth is created with bright textiles and unexpected displays—art books stock the fireplace and heirloom glassware is showcased in the kitchen. It’s the perfect escape and shows personal, comfortable style with a daring contrariety.

“I've genuinely enjoyed working with Kristen over the years. Her taste is impeccable, she is a total problem-solver and she can make just about any space stunning. I refer her to everyone.”
